"Chaos: First Clash on Matthew's Hill" with historians John Hennessy & Harry Smeltzer

The Manassas Battlefield Trust is excited to host this exclusive battlefield tour with TWO pre-eminent Manassas historians.  Led by John Hennessy and Bull Runnings' Harry Smeltzer, we’ll look at the what, where, and why of the Civil War's first large-scale clash of infantry—on Matthews Hill, the morning of July 21, 1861. The program will be a fresh look that relates events to the ground more closely than ever before. We will also explore the intense human experience of men in combat for the first time. The walk will be over easy ground, covering perhaps a mile, and last around two hours.  Ticket proceeds support our work at  Manassas National Battlefield Park.

Tickets are $30 for MBT Members / $40 for non-members
